Roscoe is a Siberian/Amur Tiger crossed with a Bengal Tiger Mix. Siberian Tigers are native to Northern Russia and Manchuria. They grow thick coats during cold season and appear to almost have a mane. They can run in deep snow up to 40 mph and are powerful, skilled hunters. 9 out of 10 times a tiger will fail to capture their prey. A full grown Siberian Male will grow up to 750 lbs.; the largest of the big cats. All tigers are solitary except during breeding and on average spend 85% of their time laying around. The rest of the time is spent hunting or checking the perimeters of their territory.
Roscoe was sold as a house pet, kept under a car port. He was front declawed. When his owners realized they could not control him, he came to live at our rescue. Roscoe consumes about 80 lbs of meat a day.
